Thank you for showing me how to do it all, even this, with grace.'\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<p>She revealed that her mother learned she had been diagnosed with lung cancer a week before her death.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTrue to who she was, she chose grace over fear, understanding that leaving this world with dignity is an honor, not a tragedy,\u201d Grey explained.<\/p>\n<p>The 66-year-old actor praised her \u201cgorgeous and talented\u201d mom before sharing details about her life. She said, \u201cI love you, Mom. Thank you for showing me how to do it all, even this, with grace.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Famous friends sent their condolences in the comments.<\/p>\n<p>Lea Thompson wrote, \u201cA beautiful tribute. I love you so much. Your mom was the best.\u201d<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>Holly Robinson Peete commented, \u201cOh Jennifer what a beautiful tribute for a beautiful woman. Sending you love.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Grey uploaded photos of Wilder on Instagram periodically over the last few years, including on Mother\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n<p>In May 2023, she shared a picture of her pushing Wilder in a wheelchair beside a balloon display and illuminated sign that read, \u201cMom.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd it all started with this ol\u2019 bird!\u201d Grey playfully wrote in the caption.<\/p>\n<p>A year later, she posted another sweet picture of Wilder. \u201cSo lucky to be able to celebrate our dear ol\u2019 mom, Jo Wilder!!\u201d Grey cheered in the caption in May 2024. \u201cHad the best time today with my brother and this 92 year old beauty!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As Grey mentioned in her post, her mother was an actor, too. She appeared in \u201860s television shows like \u201cThe Defenders,\u201d \u201cThe Nurses\u201d and \u201cThe Detectives,\u201d according to IMDb.
