Justin Baldoni broke his silence about the \u201cIt Ends With Us\u201d dispute Wednesday, sharing a short video alongside his wife, Emily, on Instagram in which they said \u201cgratitude\u201d is what kept them going throughout the legal saga. <\/p>

\u201cGratitude has saved us,\u201d Justin Baldoni says in the video, which comes a year and a half after Blake Lively accused him of sexual harassment during the production of their film \u201cIt Ends With Us,\u201d which Baldoni directed and co-starred in. <\/p>

Lively also alleged that Baldoni\u2019s production company, Wayfarer Studios, retaliated against her after she complained about allegations of misconduct on the set of the film. <\/p>

Baldoni vehemently denied Lively\u2019s claims.<\/p>

U.S. District Judge Lewis J. Liman tossed out most of Lively\u2019s claims this year, including claims of harassment, defamation and conspiracy. Liman ruled that Lively could not pursue those claims under federal civil rights law in part because she was an independent contractor, not an employee.<\/p>

Liman let three other claims stand: breach of contract, retaliation and aiding and abetting in retaliation. The two parties reached a settlement in May before their expected trial was set to begin.<\/p>

Lively\u2019s team did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Wednesday\u2019s video.<\/p>

Baldoni did not mention Lively, the film or the legal battle in the video, which is almost five minutes long. Instead, they referred to the dispute\u2019s impact on their lives. <\/p>

\u201cWhat I will say is that there have been so many painful things that have been spoken to existence … over the last couple years,\u201d Justin Baldoni said. \u201cAnd that created so much noise, and we didn\u2019t want to add to the noise, so we just wanted to let the justice system run its course.\u201d<\/p>

Emily Baldoni added, \u201cThe truth and the facts have spoken for themselves, and here we are.\u201d <\/p>
