But Trump said Wednesday that he didn\u2019t know if it was dead or just on hold.<\/p><p>Meanwhile, the DOJ\u2019s Judgment Fund is a bottomless pot of money to settle legal claims made against the government, set up to \u201celiminate the procedural burdens involved in getting an appropriation from Congress to pay a particular judgment,\u201d according to the Treasury\u2019s website. But, critics have long cautioned the fund could be abused. <\/p><p>The Trump administration has already paid settlements to some of those involved in the riot.
