Now it must begin again.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In separate statements, Kyiv\u2019s General Staff and the state atomic agency \u2060said a container-receiving building \u200bhad \u2060been partially destroyed, but that no spent fuel had been stored there \u2060at the time of the attack.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>A resulting \u200bfire \u2060was extinguished, and \u200cno injuries were reported.<\/p>\n<p>Russia has not publicly commented on the alleged attack on the \u200cfacility, which is located around \u200c9 miles from the Chernobyl plant, the site of the world\u2019s worst nuclear disaster.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis \u2060is not the first time Russian forces are putting Ukrainian nuclear facilities at risk,\u201d Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha wrote on X.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/trustedmovinggroups.com\/?p=850\">This 1,000-year-old pine tree\u2019s protector fears changing weather patterns<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cRussia\u2019s nuclear blackmail and threats to nuclear safety are systemic, deliberate, and unacceptable.\u201d<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>In February \u200c2025, a Russian attack drone damaged \u200ba containment arch over the Chernobyl \u200creactor that was \u2060destroyed in the April 1986 explosion and \u2060meltdown.
