Lauren Bennett, singer on ‘Party Rock Anthem,’ dies at 37
Lauren Bennett, the singer who performed on the 2011 LMFAO hit “Party Rock Anthem,” has died at 37, her former group G.R.L. said Monday.
“It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Lauren,” G.R.L. said in a statement on Instagram, which was signed by members Emmalyn Estrada, Natasha Slayton and Paula van Oppen.
It is not clear how Bennett died.
Bennett’s representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment from NBC News on Monday.

Bennett sang in “Party Rock Anthem,” which was No. 1 on Billboard’s chart for six weeks after it was released in 2011. The song was one of two by LMFAO to reach No. 1, the other was “Sexy and I Know It.”
