The Orange County Fire Authority received multiple calls reporting a vegetation fire on Narrow Canyon Road in southern Orange County at around 4:45 p.m. that was “threatening nearby homes” earlier this week.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire to seven acres with the help of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, the fire authority said.

Video from the scene showed smoke billowing from the fire as a helicopter flying overhead sprayed it with water.

The Orange County Fire Authority did not respond to a request for comment.

In a statement posted to her Instagram stories, Pedranti said her son and “others were involved.” The mother of five — four sons and one daughter — did not mention which son was involved in the incident.

“My ex husband and myself take this very serious. This behavior is unacceptable and we are deeply sorry to our community. This is a tough learning moment for our son and our family,” she wrote.

Pedranti said “there was no property damage and nobody was hurt,” adding that “there were no arrests made, but consequences for actions are being put into place.”

“He will be taking a fire safety course to make sure a mistake like this never happens again,” she wrote in her statement. “There are consequences within our family and we will make sure our son learns from this accident.”

NBC News reached out to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department for comment.

Pedranti joined “RHOC” as a housewife in the Bravo reality series’ 17th season, which aired in 2023. She’s been back for every season since, including the 20th season, which is currently airing.

This is not the first time one of Pedranti’s children has had a run-in with the law.

The four-season housewife kicked off the 20th season premiere that aired on Thursday by sharing that her 17-year-old son, Greyson, was stopped by police for speeding.

“And I said, ‘Wait, wait. Grey, how fast did they pull you over for?’ 105. I lost my mind, like inappropriately,” Pedranti told her cast mate, Emily Simpson.
