Kansas father in planned murder-suicide had a long history of violence, records show

A Kansas man who authorities now say jointly planned with his wife to kill their four young children before the couple killed themselves had previously been convicted of aggravated battery after another woman testified that he strangled and severely beat her, leaving her with permanent injuries, according to court documents.
