USS Lincoln’s thousands of service personnel swap boots for flip-flops during Thailand R&R

PATTAYA, Thailand — After nine months at sea, the sailors and Marines of the USS Abraham Lincoln are trading their cargo pants and boots for shorts and flip-flops. The relief was palpable in the Thai resort city of Pattaya on Wednesday as service members disembarked for a night on the town.
